Agronomy & Livestock Sales Manager
Durham Farmers Co-op is a progressive full spectrum agricultural supply business, serving Durham, Northumberland and Peterborough Counties. We are currently seeking leadership for our Agronomy & Livestock division as Sales Manager. You will have strong technical knowledge in all aspects of agronomy & livestock production and perform a consultative sales and service function to producers within the Co-operatives trading area.
Ensure that livestock and/or agronomy producers are called on to promote and sell manufactured feed and agronomy products in accordance with sales budget. Coordinate technical expertise provided to customers.
Manage training initiatives and producer meetings/events. Coordinate with retail employees to provide customers with nutrition advice and technical training to increase value to customers.
Train, mentor, and share knowledge/technical expertise on nutrition.
Oversee ongoing coordination with sales/marketing/agronomists/feed plant production/retail/ and producers in order to respond and/or resolve inquiries regarding animal equipment, products, pricing, etc.
Build relationships with key producer groups and industry organizations.
In addition, your proven ability to sell, consult with farmers, and utilize organizational and interpersonal skills are a definite requirement.
