Ensure good cattle health and welfare by monitoring, diagnosing and treating animals as well as maintaining health records.
Work with other team members to milk and feed cattle.
Communicate with management regularly to make decisions related to animal health also initiate positive changes required with calf and heifer raising protocols.
Knowing how to artificially inseminate cows would be an asset but not necessary.
What you’ll need:
Working towards or already have a Diploma in Veterinary Technology, or
Diploma in Agriculture, and/or trained in artificial insemination are all assets but not required
Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work with computers, and communicate easily in English both written and verbal.
Valid G drivers license.
